Morra Diego

Cascina Mosca 37 Verduno CN | T. +39 0172 2470170

History

The history of the Morra winery began in the middle of the 20th century with the first handkerchief of land, and today we have 30 hectares of vineyards between the communes of La Morra, Verduno and Roddi, and 20 hectares of hazelnut groves. "Cascina Mosca" is what everyone called their home, the winery, and even today the company headquarters is located right there, where tradition places them, in the locality of Mosca di Verduno, in the heart of the beautiful Monvigliero vineyard. A story in continuous evolution, according to the rhythms of the land and the generations, in search of a constant and renewed balance between man and nature, where sustainability plays a key role. The family's idea is that their children, grandchildren and those who will come after them can continue to enjoy this beautiful territory and its riches.

People

A story that began in the mid-19th century with the first handkerchief of land. Today, at the centre of their daily commitment, a property consisting of 30 hectares of vineyards spread across the municipalities of Verduno, La Morra and Roddi, and 20 hectares of hazelnut groves. Domenico, Antonio and Diego: 3 generations, 3 different eras. Projected into the future, but always with an eye on the past.

Vineyards

The vineyards, located in the best crus of Verduno, La Morra and Roddi d'Alba, are predominantly cultivated with Nebbiolo, but there is a significant presence of all the typical vines of the area, such as Dolcetto, Barbera and the particular Pelaverga.

Wines

The wines produced by the company reflect the territory of the Langhe. You will find the Barolo Zinzasco, the Barolo Monvigliero, the Babera d’Alba, the Dolcetto d’Alba, the Langhe Nebbiolo, the Rosato, the rare Verduno Pelaverga and the Chardonnay.
