Veglio Angelo

B.ta Gancia, 110 Fraz. Annunziata | La Morra CN | T. +39 0173.50813

History

The first nucleus of what is now the Vini Veglio La Morra winery was born in 188, more than a hundred years ago. In that distant year, the founder of the family – grandfather Francesco, succeeded in fulfilling his long-standing wish to acquire an estate for each one of his three sons. The property would later pass from Francesco to his son Angelo, officially in 1904. In 1933, Angelo and Arturo, his son, presented the fruit of their labour, a 1932 Barolo, at the La Morra wine show, collecting the first gold medal in the family's history. From 1965, the management of the winery was permanently entrusted to the now adult Angelo and his wife Rosanna, who ran it with firmness and renewed attention to the customer. From the 1990s to the present day, the winery has been renovated and enlarged four times due to increased exports.

People

Today in the winery there is Franco, Angelo’s son – who continues his ancestors’ work together with his family: his wife and his two daughters, Nicole and Jessica.
