History

The Paolo Scavino winery was founded in 1921 in Castiglione Falletto by Lorenzo Scavino and his son Paolo.
Today, the Scavino winery is run by Enrico Scavino, Paolo’s son, it vinifies exclusively its own grapes, grown on the 30 hectares of land located in the Barolo area, and it produces approximately 120.000 bottles per year. In 1951, Enrico was only just 10 years old when he started working full-time in the cellar, side by side with his father Paolo. From an early age, Enrico Scavino has had a passion and devotion for his region, and over the course of 70 years, he has researched and purchased historic vineyards in some of the most important MGAs (crus) of Nebbiolo da Barolo.

People
